Halloween street

Nursing home scene My neighborhood goes wild decorating for Halloween. On my walk today I took these photos for your enjoyment.

There are over 2,500 trick-or-treaters on "Halloween Street," which is one block away from where I live. The best thing, I think, about the decorations is that they are original, creative and funny.

Sure, there are a fair number of store bought items and some of those inflatable things but there are also art projects, engineering projects and professionally constructed displays done by guys who apparently have way too much free time.

On Halloween night, the residents dress up, throw huge parties, and hire (I'm not kidding) brass bands to entertain the kiddies.

You should see it. Hillcrest Avenue, between Frankfort and Brownsboro, Crescent Hill, Louisville.

Great photograph! Hope you had a good time on vacation...did you visit any vineyards?

Thanks!

Wino stories from Northern California coming soon, I promise.

I had a pretty bad cold during the trip so my memories are affected by the drugs, the wine and something else that I can't seem to remember right now.

I'm attending a Hillcrest party on Halloween--can we come trick or treat at your house? :)

I am hoping you know the person that takes the still digital pictures on halloween of the trick or treaters. I was wondering if he/she has a link to the video/pictures he/she takes or if I can get a copy. I would be interested in it if possible we went trick-or-treating in your neighborhood the last couple of years. I have never seen anything like it. I like it especially because the police is present at every corner. My mother-in-law went with my two kids and I this year. She enjoyed herself. She asked me twice on the way home the name of the street. Thanks, let me know and maybe we can converse another way or if you can post the link if one on here I would really appreciate it. The kids would love it. Thanks A Bunch.
